2026 IBJJF European Championship Results

The 2026 IBJJF European Jiu-Jitsu Championship — the 22nd edition of the tournament and the opening leg of the IBJJF Grand Slam season — ran through January 24 in Lisbon, Portugal. As always, the gi-only event set an early tone for the year's adult black belt rankings.

Thais Loureiro successfully defended her European title, edging Mayssa Bastos 2x0 for her third European gold and reinforcing her hold on the women's featherweight division. William Wilson delivered the breakthrough performance of the men's bracket, taking a tight 2x0 decision over Mateo Cardona for a career-defining title.

On the team side, Alliance opened a near 30-point lead over AOJ in the men's standings, while Atos topped the women's team race — an early marker for the belt-to-black-belt pipeline both academies are known for developing.
