A rash guard is worn under a gi, or on its own for no-gi training. That makes it one of the most visible pieces of gear a team owns. A matching design gives a squad a recognizable look in class and at competitions, and it's an easy spot for a sponsor logo.
Rash guard fabric is usually a polyester-spandex blend, and its weight (GSM) is the main thing that determines feel and durability.
Sublimation printing infuses dye directly into the fabric fibers. The design becomes part of the material, so it doesn't crack or peel over time and supports full-color, detailed designs. Screen printing is cheaper, but the print fades faster with repeated washing and only works well for simple logos with a few colors.
Standard sizing covers kids sizes (roughly ages 6–14) and adult sizes from XS through 4XL, with a dedicated women's cut. Fit comes in three levels: a tight compression fit for competition, a slightly looser athletic fit that's still competition-legal, and a relaxed fit for training only.
Rash guards worn under a gi for competition don't face strict color rules, but IBJJF does require a compression fit that doesn't give an opponent extra material to grab. See the IBJJF rulebook for current specifics on no-gi divisions.
Sublimation is the better choice for almost any team order, since the dye becomes part of the fabric and won't crack, peel, or fade with regular washing. Screen printing is cheaper but fades faster.
Our minimum is 25 units for a fully custom design. Per-unit price drops as the order size grows, with the best price-to-flexibility balance in the 50–150 unit range.
230 GSM is the standard choice for most academies, balancing comfort and durability. Lighter 200 GSM fabric suits competition and hot climates; heavier 260 GSM suits intensive training camps.
