Claudio França is a 5th-degree black belt under Francisco Mansor and one of the pioneers of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the United States, having moved from Rio de Janeiro in 1995 and founded the long-running U.S. Open tournament. His association runs schools across San Jose, Santa Cruz, Watsonville and Scotts Valley.
