Greg Eldred is a 5th-degree black belt who began training at the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Torrance, California in 1991 and is recognised as the first person to teach Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in central Indiana. His Carmel academy is affiliated with red-and-black belt Carlos "Caique" Elias, a direct Hélio Gracie black belt.
