Founded by Shawn Williams, a 6th-degree black belt promoted by Renzo Gracie in 2002 — the fifth black belt to come out of the original Renzo Gracie Academy in New York. Williams ran Renzo Gracie Los Angeles before bringing the lineage to Nashville, with locations in Belle Meade and Brentwood.
